Hindon Filters Pvt. Ltd. is a Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) based company that was set up in the year 1985. It is running very smoothly with the capable guidance of Mr. M. G. Agarwal (Managing Director) & Rajive Agarwal (Director), Who hold the Company.
Hindon Filters is a part of a business group with a 42 year old history of excellence. The business activity was started by our Managing Director, Mr. M. G. Agarwal in 1974.After graduating in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur with honors, he started a machine design and manufacturing unit specializing in paper and related products. The unit has to its credit several paper plants in North India and some in the South as well. With the experience gained from establishing several paper units and in depth knowledge in paper manufacturing, Mr. M.G. Agarwal conceived the idea of establishing a filter paper manufacturing unit in India.
At the time, filter paper was not manufactured in India and was a purely imported product. With extensive in house research and design, an appropriate process was seeded and the manufacturing plant was designed, manufactured and installed in the years 1983-84. In 14 months, the plant was ready to roll out paper. Mr. Agarwal’s pioneering efforts established the first filter paper manufacturing plant in India. The product met the technical parameters of the industry and became a viable alternative to imported papers manufactured by world leaders such as Hollingsworth and Vose, and Alstrom. With Mr. M.G. Agarwal and Mr. Rajive Agarwal’s leadership, the company rose to new heights and became a market leader in the field with a 65% market share.
From the beginning of his business practices, Mr. Agarwal had a firm commitment to providing products of the utmost quality at competitive prices. He never stopped enhancing the products and making sure that they were technically competitive to any alternative available in the market. With much success over the years and an extremely well established brand reputation in the filter paper manufacturing industry, the production and sales grew at a rapid rate from 300 tons per year to over 1,800 tons today, having the largest market share of any individual manufacturer in the country.
The market size has also grown considerably. Looking at this growing demand a new, larger plant is currently being installed and is nearing completion with a capacity of 6,000 tons per annum, designed to allow for further expansion to capacity as per demand. The new plant is technically much superior, capable of producing many more grades of filter paper currently not possible and capable of much more stringent quality control through sophisticated automation. Utilizing a more efficient process and economies of scale, it is expected to be more economical with a cost of production at least 10% lower. With a large customer base, excellent reputation and technical superiority in the market, we are committed to delivering absolute customer satisfaction and forever pursuing industry leadership.
